Assign and track training in Jericho

Use Training in Jericho Security to find courses and assign them to employees. Use Assignments to track their status and Analytics → Training to review results across your organization.

This guide covers the administrator workflow inside Jericho. Employees complete their courses through the training experience configured for your organization.

  • Sign in as an Admin or Manager to create assignments and manage notifications. Viewer users can review available reports but cannot assign training or export report data. See workspace roles.
  • Confirm that Training is available in your organization and that the courses you need appear in the library. If it is missing or the catalog is empty, contact Jericho Support.
  • Prepare your groups in People & Groups and check their membership, including nested groups, before assigning a course.
  1. Expand Training in the navigation and select Library.
  2. Browse the course categories or All courses. Use View more to see additional courses.
  3. Where available, use All sources or My organization to change the course source filter.
  4. Open a course to review its content and details.
  5. Choose Create assignment to assign that course.

You can also start from Training → Assignments → Create assignment. Use Search courses…, click Search, and choose Assign this course on the course you want.

  1. On Create assignment, review Training content to confirm the selected course.
  2. Open the edit control in Recipients and select Add groups. Choose the groups that should receive the course and confirm your selection.
  3. Review the selected groups. Employees in nested groups are included; this is not limited to members directly attached to the selected parent group.
  4. Open Schedule and set Due date. Choose today or a future date. If you leave it blank, the assignment uses a default due date 30 days from creation.
  5. Review the course, audience, and due date, then click Launch Assignment.
  6. After the success message, open Training → Assignments to check the resulting assignments.

The launcher assigns one course at a time. Repeat the process for another course. The Schedule section sets the completion deadline; it does not offer a future launch date or recurrence control.

An employee’s existing incomplete enrollment is reused, so assigning the course again does not create a separate copy or replace that enrollment’s due date.

Reassigning a course the employee has already completed clears its completion state, applies the new due date, and makes it eligible for another assignment notification. Use this when you intend the employee to take the course again.

Open Training → Assignments and choose a tab:

TabStatusMeaning
Active AssignmentsTo doThe course’s start date is in the future.
Active AssignmentsActiveThe enrollment is incomplete and has not passed its due date. This status alone does not mean the employee has started the course.
Ended AssignmentsCompletedCompletion has been recorded.
Ended AssignmentsExpiredThe due date has passed without recorded completion.

Review Completion and Due Date together. Click Due Date to change the sort order. Each row represents an employee’s enrollment, so the same course can appear multiple times after a group assignment.

Creating an assignment and sending an employee notification are separate steps. Delivery follows your organization’s notification settings and processing schedule.

  1. Open the settings menu (gear icon) and select Notification settings to open Notification Center.
  2. Review the available training assignment and reminder notifications, including their enabled status and delivery settings.
  3. If you need to send queued notifications, select Send Pending Notifications.
  4. Review the notification categories and recipient counts in the confirmation dialog. Select only the categories you intend to send, then confirm.

This action can cover pending notifications across the organization, not just the course you most recently assigned. Check the counts before confirming. If an employee has not received a training message, verify the assignment, their email address, and the applicable notification settings before assigning the course again.

Where available, open Analytics → Training and choose the date range you want to review.

TabUse it to
OverviewReview training trends and follow-up training after failed simulations.
AssignmentsReview assignment status, completion, and due dates.
CoursesCompare course-level results.
EmployeesReview employee-level training results and follow-up needs.

The overview’s follow-up metrics describe training associated with failed simulations; they should not be read as totals for all directly assigned courses. Use the other tabs to inspect assignment, course, or employee results. Use Export as CSV where available if you need a report download.

Direct assignments are useful when you want selected employees to take a course independently of a simulation. Campaign follow-up training is configured with the campaign or its attack template.

In the campaign launcher, review Training and select the available courses. If the template says training is disabled, choose a training-enabled template when follow-up training is required. Maintain reusable course selections in Attack Library.
